One of the points of testing is to experiment. Its to try new things whether its trying out a new makeup artist, or try new photographic techniques. This test was me testing photo techniques.
All off the special effects you see here were achieved 100% IN CAMERA... IN CAMERA EFFECTS! 
The only thing that was done in post was the split-toning on two of the images. Otherwise the coloration, the lensflare, the blur effects, and everything else was achieved through lighting and a few special tools.
I borrowed Ash (from Fusion Models) for two hours on Saturday, and played around with a ton of 'tools' I picked up Friday night at Michael's Arts and Crafts store. I ran around the store buying things to hold in front of my lens, and then tested them out on Saturday. It was quite an odd sight in Michaels... I had my camera to my eye and grabbed everything in sight, held it in front of the camera, and snapped a photo (with Joel running around and helping me discover tools too). I walked away with about $50 of magical junk. If only I didn't have a small NYC apartment... then I'd have some place to store all my toys!
I wanted to share the resulting photos, and see if anyone likes the effects...I was thinking about doing a tutorial, or DVD, or something talking about creative in-camera effects like these.Let me know your thoughts, and maybe test out your own techniques... pick up random materials and hold them in front of your lens and see what happens!
